Find an Appretice

Apprentices provide many benefits to your business. They can provide you with an extra pair of hands, help to reduce staff turnover and allow you to grow your own, well trained, employees of the future. More than 100,000 employers in over 160,000 work places, currently use Apprenticeships to attract new talent, re-skill existing staff and tackle skill shortages.

Tailored Packages

Set in a modern academy with educators working at the industry forefront, our experienced team will create a package for your apprentice, tailored to your workplace requirements.

On/Off site training

Your apprentice's programme will be delivered in the best way to suit your workplace. This could be by attending the academy on a weekly, monthly or block basis. They could do a mixture of attending the academy and learning taking place in the workplace with the support of a designated tutor. Or you could even take the approach of blended learning, which is both face to face delivery and online delivery or delivery exclusively in your workplace.

Additional Learning

Our educators can focus on other areas such as customer service, life skills, communication and functional skills; all delivered within our training centres. Should you wish, your apprentice could carry out the training in-house. We also offer a range of value added training to support your workplace and skills gaps. These are qualifications such as Coaching and Mentoring, Management, Assessors Qualifications and Business Administration.

No Contribution for under 19’s

If the employer is an SME employer and the apprentice is under the age of 19 at the start of the apprenticeship, the funding is fully covered by the government and there is no contribution from the employer. Employers who do not pay the levy, and those who want to invest more in apprenticeship training than they have available in their levy accounts, benefit from significant government funding to support their commitment to apprenticeships.

Recruitment Service

As part of the comprehensive apprenticeship training package offered by The Link Training Academy; we offer a bespoke apprenticeship recruitment service.

As part of this process, we will work with you to build an apprentice profile. This profile will include all the skills and attributes you would like your apprentice to have as well as preferences towards study level, course and experience.

Once we have developed your ideal apprenticeship profile we will advertise through our social media outlets and links with local schools and careers advisors to compile a quota of potential apprenticeship candidates based on location.

All potential apprentices will be invited to an interview and trial session. During this trial session, our tutors complete an in-depth skills and attributes assessment. We pair this information with the information collected in the interview and compare this to your apprentice profile. This provides us with a list of suitable candidates for your business.

Once we have compiled a list of suitable candidates, we will work with you and the apprentice to organise interviews which can take place either at your business or within our academy.

Once you have interviewed potential candidates, we recommend that you invite successful candidates to attend a work trial. This can be from 1 day up to 2 weeks. We can help you to organise this, if you require.

Once you have selected your apprentice, we will support you to design an employment contract and learning plan that suits your needs. We will also help to ensure your business is safe and meets legislation relating to the hiring of an apprentice.
